What is the purpose of the study?
The purpose of the study is to examine gender differences in work-life balance, career progression and satisfaction, perceptions of discrimination, attitudes to part time work and organisational support, amongst Cardiologists in the UK.
Research shows that effective management of the work-life interface promotes positive organisational outcomes, with a reduction in absence, an increase in morale and job satisfaction, and improvements of quality of work and organisational performance. In order to implement systems and strategies to ensure equality in the work force for men and women Cardiologists in the UK, research needs to be carried out to describe the personal and professional factors that influence our workforce. This project aims to address this data gap.
