About the research

N8 Policing Research Partnership (PRP) has commissioned the Institute for Criminal Policy Research to conduct an independent evaluation of its programme of collaborative work between 11 police forces/PCCs and eight universities in the north of England. The N8 PRP programme is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England. It aims to improve collaboration between the police and universities by developing, disseminating and applying evidence-based approaches to policing and crime reduction. The evaluation will seek to understand the influence and impact of the N8 PRP across its various research, knowledge exchange and training activities and provide feedback to help shape the future activities and priorities of the partnership.

We would very much welcome your help with this evaluation by completing the following survey. You do not need to have any prior awareness or knowledge of the N8 PRP to participate in the survey which should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. All answers will be treated in the strictest of confidence and used for research purposes only. No individual will be identifiable in the published findings.

Participation is voluntary; however, to obtain a representative picture of police officer, police staff, PCCs and staff working with the 11 Police and Crime Commissioners, it is essential that as many policing and non-policing professionals as possible take part.

Further information on the N8 PRP is available at https://n8prp.org.uk/ but if you have any questions or want further information please contact Tiggey May at ICPR (email: t.may@bbk.ac.uk).

We are not asking you to sign a consent form as your decision to take part implies consent. Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.
